How often should you monitor and in what detail

• Once a month is a good starting point - but use your judgement - you may need to monitor weekly for very short programmes.
• If time is short, do not worry about details - keep an eye on the main items in the budget and the key outputs, purpose and goal.

Failing to monitor your programme is very risky.

Log frames provide measurable indicators for the achievement of your goal, purpose and outputs. The choice and monitoring of these indicators falls more correctly under Programme Management. We have not dealt with this in this guide.
